So I didn't really have an opening line going in, so whatever I used for my first one was going to be the line for the day. I stopped off at Metcalfe's by west towne (mostly because if I kill time there, the traffic on the way home isn't nearly as bad.) The first woman I saw was wearing glasses, so I decided that would be it. I complimented her on her glasses, saying that they made her look distinguished. I asked her what she did, and I found out that she's in marketing. She does marketing for green companies, which is pretty cool. She was wearing an infinity charm on her necklace, so I asked her about that. She told me that her boyfriend gave it to her. I asked her what she did in her spare time and she said she liked hanging out with friends and going to Badger games. I wasn't really interested in asking for her number, so I didn't.
The second woman I approached was also in Metcalfe's. I was getting a little greedy after yesterday, so I did two approaches in the same place. She had a tattoo on the back of her neck. I asked her what it meant and she said it's her husband's last name. I said that was cool and that was it.
The third woman I approached was in Barnes & Noble. She was also a high schooler. Just kidding. She was dressed rather classy, so I complimented her on that. I asked her what she did, and she said that she was a social worker at a nursing home. We talked about that for a bit, and the conversation just kinda fizzled out.
The fourth woman I approached was at HyVee. While passing by her, I smiled and she smiled back, so I complimented her on her smile. I introduced myself and she said she was married, so I went into my regular "married/boyfriend" bit. I asked her what she did and she told me she was a teacher. So, we had some common ground there, as I used to be a teacher. We talked about the politics behind teacher and the economic difficulties. I probably talked with her for about 5 minutes or so, then went on my way.
